Creative music learning through singing, movement, rhythm and play.
Children’s Orff Music at Clef Music
Our Children’s Orff Music programme introduces young children to music through singing, movement, rhythm, speech, percussion, creative play and group interaction. Inspired by the Orff-Schulwerk approach, each class encourages children to experience music with their whole body before moving towards musical understanding.
Through songs, games, stories, movement activities and simple instruments, children develop a natural sense of beat, rhythm, pitch, listening, coordination and creativity in a joyful and supportive environment.
Singing & Voice
Children explore pitch, melody, vocal expression and listening through age-appropriate songs and vocal games.
Movement & Rhythm
Children develop beat, rhythm, coordination and body awareness through movement, dance and action-based activities.
Percussion & Instruments
Children play simple percussion instruments, xylophones and classroom instruments to explore sound, pattern and ensemble skills.
Creativity & Confidence
Children are encouraged to improvise, respond, create and perform in a supportive group environment.
Orff music education is especially suitable for young children because it begins with what children naturally love to do: sing, move, speak, play and imagine. Rather than learning music only through explanation, children experience musical concepts through active participation.
This approach helps children build strong foundations for future instrumental learning, singing, ensemble participation and creative musical expression.
